Adapted from a poem written by Morenike’, Shoe-icide details the life of a young woman who goes from rags to riches and becomes so enamored by material possessions, most favorably her expensive shoes, provided by her husband, that she excuses his infidelity, mental, physical, and emotional abuse. The cycle continues until she is terminally affected by her husbands actions and she takes her own life.
